Key Technical Points & Acceptance Check of Fire Roller Shutters

Curtain is the core for fire integrity and heat insulation of fire roller shutters. Qualified inorganic composite curtains are multi-layer sewn with fireproof threads. Double‑track double‑curtain shutters satisfy both integrity and insulation, while single‑track single‑curtain ones usually only meet integrity. They are fitted with weighted bottom beams and anti‑fall clips. Check for damage, layer consistency and gaps.
Guide rails, normally Q235 galvanized steel, guide the curtain and resist fire side force. Large‑span shutters require wind‑resistant ribs. Rails shall be parallel, vertical and firmly fixed. Clear debris and seal gaps with fireproof materials. Thin plates and missing reinforcements are hidden risks.
The linkage system controls the shutter. For evacuation routes: smoke alarm stops it at 1.8m; heat alarm closes it fully. Non‑evacuation shutters drop directly. It supports manual, auto and remote operation, with backup release for power failure. Check detectors, logic, limit switches and standby power.
Acceptance includes document check, visual inspection and simulated fire test for two‑step descent. Curtain, rails and linkage must all work properly for reliable fire and smoke separation.
